Personal Response & Support Systems

Living at home is often the greatest wish for someone despite the risk factors associated with doing so.  Philips Lifeline systems make this wish come true for many.  Easy to use, this medical alert service reduces the risks associated with living alone.  The mere push of a button brings help rapidly from trained professionals who can access and dispatch help quickly at any time and on any day.  Peace of mind never came so easily.

The Lifeline standard medical alert system provides options for the resident who is wary of falls or other possible emergencies.  Users can choose from two personal care buttons, either the classic pendant or the slimline version.  Both are lightweight and waterproof so they can be worn constantly.  The slimline version can be worn on the wrist or as a pendant.

Lifeline users have two communicator options from which to choose, as well.  One is Lifeline’s specially designed, innovative cordless phone with large buttons that are easy to read and use, large high contrast displays, voice amplification and lightweight handsets.   Additional handsets and chargers are available, as is a speaker phone that expands the resident’s voice range throughout the home.  An additional feature is that the Lifeline cordless phone works during a power outage with 30 hours of back-up power for help calls.

A second communicator option allows the user to operate the Lifeline system with an existing phone.  The user’s personal help button answers calls remotely when pressed and the user gets a monthly test call reminder.  Voice amplification is available on the speaker phone and there is a 15-hour battery back-up if power goes out in the home.

Perhaps most innovative of all is the newly-created AutoAlert pendant from LifeLine.  This personal call button will call for help automatically when it detects a fall, even if the user is unable to push the button.
