Cpap and Bipap Machines

One in every five adults suffers from some sort of sleep-disordered breathing.  Our suppliers provide the most reliable, state-of-the art positive airway pressure therapy on the market today, without drugs or surgery.  ResMed and Respironics have teamed up to increase awareness in the medical community nationwide about sleep disorders that go untreated.

Both companies are leaders in the field of positive airway pressure as it relates to sleep.  Their small bedside apparatuses deliver pressurized air via masks.  The quiet operation of these machines provides a natural breathing experience for patients while monitoring patients’ sleep activity.

Respironics has been in the sleep therapy business since 1985 with the first commercial CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine.  Today, the company maintains its commitment to developing technology that helps improve patients’ lives.  Their line of products includes machines to manage and treat even the most complicated sleep apnea cases.

Like Respironics, ResMed offers models designed both for CPAP and BiPAP, the bi-level version that provides higher pressure when one breathes in, lower pressure when one breathes out.

These machines are designed for ease of operation.  In some models, data cards act like personal assistants to guide patients through downloads and to remind them when to call their providers, replace their masks or change their air filters.  Some data systems even provide feedback directly to the patient’s clinician.  Large easy-to-read LCD screens make operation all that much simpler.

Masks for these machines come in variety of styles and sizes, including nasal, full-face and hospital designs.  All are created with the goal of helping the patient to forget he/she is wearing a mask and to focus instead on getting a good night’s sleep.  The masks allow a sense of freedom as they are flexible and conform to the contours of the face.

An array of other sleep-enhancing products is available.  Among them are humidifiers, diagnostic devices, monitoring devices to track patient progress and compliance, and a variety of accessories.
